The Galleria

Part of the Cumberland/Galleria edge city, I had quite a few pictures from the Galleria today, so I thought I'd post them separately.

  1. I'd like to point out that the engravings on the Renaissance Waverly Hotel at the Galleria is reminiscent of the cuneiform writings from ancient Mesopotamia, as are the palm trees.

Thus, auto-oriented or not, it would be remiss to simply dismiss edge cities as suburban office parks and "cultural backwaters" when in fact they are often at the forefront of what is happening in our modern world.
