Fortress Living

The Fortress

These properties appear intermittantly upon the landscape. The definition of fortress is a single family resource with walls and iron fences that enclose the entire property.

Exhibited below are five properties in Southwest Atlanta, the majority are OTP yet the first and second images are located ITP, in Cascade proper.

Notice the fence surrounds the entire property, woodland and foliage buffer street noise and obstructs the view of the resource from the street.

Positioned on a hilltop, this large modern resource is surrounded by iron fencing.

Fencing encloses pond visible in foreground.

Fenced single family residence.

Entire property enclosed.

Recent addition to the landscape.

Fencing frames the front and immediate sides of property.

  1. Gates, gates, gates. Are these in a gated complex?

  2. No these are single family residences. The fortress mentality is in overdrive, IMO these gates are really too much!
