Located near the Dekalb County Farmer’s Market is the city of Clarkston. An excellent example of an ethnic suburb the neighborhood pictured above is home to immigrants primarily from Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Somalia. A mix of single and multi-family structures, the homes in this area seem well built but lacking in modern amenities as evidenced by the picture with the clothesline in the backyard.

Very interesting, Vassel. Do you know people in Clarkston? It would be great to know more about how refugees--and new immigrants generally--have transformed this (once? still?) suburban environment.
